The Separation of God and Government
from the Washington Populist, Fall 1993

By Mark Downey

It is curiously ironic how equally aberrant two elements of the general patriotic movement are, that express the opinion that neither political actions nor religious beliefs can deliver us from things we've grown to despise in government. Politicians and clergy have become void of honor and integrity. Communists, degenerates and atheists are celebrating their separation of church and state. Having been hoodwinked into thinking that God does not belong in government, leaves us with a comedy of errors that we are to be governed by the divine right of idiots. Will America be saying, by the year 2000, "I've fallen and I can't get up?"

America is or was a Christian nation. The bleeding heart liberals have cajoled kosher conservatives to be tolerant of other value systems. Today, the Trojan horse of Judeo-Christian apathy makes a mockery of the blood sacrifice of our national foundations. Our forefathers had their priorities straight. They had God above all. Americans should decide right now if they want what our founders had. They were not conned by King George any more than we should be deceived by Bill Clinton. Now, as never before, is the time to stand up and boldly declare war on our own moral lethargy. To raise a standard of righteousness against the serpents of wickedness is still within our capacity. The problem is not so much with our adversaries as it is with the deluded cynics within our own ranks that have been conned into believing that there is nothing they can do politically to change things; or the other misguided faction that rejects the Word of God as found in the Holy Bible that guarantees things will change in the government if we simple follow His instructions. These pessimists have been fighting the establishment for years with egotistical silver bullets and secular narrow mindedness.

Do we want to repeat the failures or victories of history? There can be no victory unless we seek God's way. Corruption of the elect will prosper as long as God's Laws for good government remain dormant. We know that they're getting away with murder, extortion and lies. The time has come that we name the traitors and administrate the appropriate judgment. Betrayal is big business, but our God is bigger than the trilaterals.

Choose ye this day whom ye will fear and serve. We cannot afford fatalists, rapturists, agnostics or illiterates to poison the potential of the Populist Party. We must be purified in thought and rid ourselves of doubts about our scriptural command to govern. The phrase "ignorance of the law is no excuse" is mistakenly applied to warehouses full of man made laws. Until recently, everyone knew it meant the Law of God, the Ten Commandments. Our perfect government is Christian theocracy; a monarchy of Jesus Christ with his captains and representatives within the blessed borders of this holy republic. Get used to the idea...it will happen!!

Whenever a government turns on its masters, the citizens, and behaves like a malevolent, rabid, lawless, mindless dog, then that government is no longer legitimate. The present form of government is not ordained by God and is not in accord with Romans 13, and thereby have no authority. So why would anyone want to give credence to the satanic company of mongrel jurisdictions operating under the illusion of law? There is only one authority and light of the world and that is King Jesus. You may find Him before it's too late. "But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God; for they are foolishness unto him; neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." I Corinthians 2:14.

The Populist Party is the only political organization that can and will reflect 'Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth'. Most of you reading this are not the type of passive bystanders that would let your beloved America go down the gutters. Mark Twain said, "In the beginning of a change, the patriot is a scarce man and brave, hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, however, the timid join him for then it costs nothing to be a patriot.
